The Course

The only way to effectively improve a driver's skills is in a car not a classroom. We firmly believe in this and therefore the amount of time spent in the training room is minimal.

Delegates are trained in pairs, that is two delegates to one trainer, normally in the delegates’ own car.

Before any driver attends a training course we ask that they complete a question paper and submit their answers to us prior to the start of the course. The questions are multiple choice and cover areas such as road procedures, traffic signs, driver attitude etc. and help us to assess their theoretical knowledge. We ask for this to be done before the course starts so as not to waste valuable training time on the day. The papers are marked by our support staff and the trainer can then cover the most relevant points with the delegates.

The course begins with a short briefing to ensure that everyone present understand what your company hopes to achieve by sending the delegates on this course.

Immediately following this the delegates are taken out and asked to drive in their ‘normal manner’ so that the trainer can assess them. The trainer will then give a demonstration drive followed by coaching and development of each delegate’s driving skills.

After lunch the coaching will continue, ending with a final assessment to plot the change in driver skills.

Each delegate will be asked to complete a course critique at the end of the course as it is important for both your company and ours to make sure they feel they have benefitted from the training given.
